OKC showed it's stuff by hosting and supporting the New Orleans Hornets while N.O. was being cleaned up. Now they have the former Seattle Supersonics as the OKC Thunder. I can take my wife, who is a big NBA fan, to OKC, check out the new Brickyard area of the city, take in a game at Ford Center and spend the night. About 8 hours, roundtrip. I think that sounds like a plan.
Trivia: Very few people (are old enough to) remember that in 1964, OKC was subjected to a government test of how people would react to sonic booms. I lived there at the time and for six months, we had 8 sonic booms a day. Let's see, six months times 30 days, times 8 is a lot. :eek: It didn't bother me but it sure brought out the litigators. Everything from, it's making my house fall down to, I'm now insane due to these booms. Seems to me OKC should have kept the Supersonics name for the team.
