We all know that this time of the year things can get tough for people; I am truly blessed to be where I am today looking back at where I was. I want to make sure that everybody is aware of a local organization that helps people who are in a time of need.

It is the Bishop Sullivan Center program called Lift a Burden here is the web link to the page where you will find a few good people down on their luck and in need of some help:

http://www.bishopsullivan.org/center_services/lift_a_burden.aspx

At the time I looked at this one person's burden had been lifted and there was 2 more people yet to be helped.

The site states that the Bishop Sullivan Center is the largest single site provider of emergency assistance in the Kansas City area. Their mission is to provide basic necessities to people who are unable to do so and to move those who are able to become self-sufficient. Go through this link to read more about them:

Please always remember that there are people in need and we should do what we can to help. Monetary donations, gifts for children who may not get anything, food for the local food banks or just some of our time to give a hand to those in need.

I am very grateful to be where I am at in my life and I want to do what I can to help others as I have "been there, done that" in the past. I am thankful for the many great friends I have and the wonderful family I have.

God bless everybody, be thankful for all you have.

I am done with my rant now :)

Thank you for posting this, Mary.

I've been looking for a local charity to support and this one looks like it really does some good.
