GEESE Children

These geese have been comming to the pond for 3 years now. Last year she hatched one, but it was gone in 24 hours. This year she had 4 of 5 eggs hatch 3 days ago.
Born to swim I tell you! Never have seen anything like it. :) Dad really on watch all the time.

I know a lot of people don't like them, particularly businesses, because of the mess and the disruption in traffic flow, but I think they're great. I love to watch them cross the street, honking all the way as if to say, "I have places to go and you can just wait for me!" I love to watch them pad across the grass, and I think it's a testament to nature when they make a nest in a little grassy parking lot island. It's like, "Hey, I didn't ask you to pave it over. I get to be here, too, so deal with it."

Dad let me get 10 feet from the babies today. I even pulled up in the ATV.

Goose-whisperer. ;) They love the cracked corn I put out.

That's so cool! I don't care what anyone says, I like them. I like that they honk with attitude, and I like that they let you near them. Those babies are so cute!

BTW, I keep meaning to ask if that photo of your wife is manipulated or if she's really kissing a lion? I'm assuming that was Vegas. They have them trained so well that you can walk right up and kiss them?
