Y. No, I don’t regret it. The USA is a country with literally no corruption where people respect the law. A regular person who’s willing to work can live well there. In the USA, there are no restrictions because of your ethnicity – a worthy person can achieve a lot.

Either (A) this person is blind or (B) The corruption here is "kids play" and not even worthy of the corruption over there!

I do like his comment on the person who's willing to work can live well here as well as restrictions on ethnicity. Odd that so many here seem willing to trade what we have for where they have been.

That is the one thing that keeps me here (in the USA) - there is no better country in the world. Although, I hear more and more the old socialist countries unable to sustain their social programs switching to capitalism...

Although, one thing to think about, when the USSR broke up and the people there had succession from the mother country - we were all OK with that, why can't that be thought of here (without being called a traitor) after all, this nation was born out of succession from the Brits...

I think the west should break off (CA, WA and OR) in to Kalifornia.
The NE should break off in to New EU or EUv2 or the United Socialist States of America

The rest should be the Unified States of America (just so we can keep the USA to us)

Well, once they have begun rule under the 9th circuit judges (who they would, in their "infinite" wisdom make their supreme court), the smart people will vacate, with their business and money - leaving the general population to tax the crap out of themselves to make their pet projects work. Eventually (in short order) they will riot because there will be no jobs and nothing in the stores (which remained open). Having been unable to create a defense ministry (Berkley, however, got their peace department), the gangs from LA take over large sections of the region, carving it up in to districts for them to control all the turf. Corruption will soar and the Mexicans will jump the boarder to go back home because it isn't that bad there, by comparison. Kalifornia will attempt to pass a law that it is illegal for the illegals to return to Mexico as the rich who remained can't find housecleaners and nannies cheap anymore.

Around this time, the western states of the unified states will express concern over the refugees coming across the border. The volunteer military will then mobilize, roll in to the areas and, with little fighting, secure the entire area. The 9th circuit and most of Berkley will be executed for crimes against common sense, many of the political and hollywood class will seek asylum in the EUv2 area (and we'll let them pass, without their possessions). And to signal the acceptance of these regions in to the unified states, we'll re-open eBay (which the 9th shut down because it was deemed damaging to the self esteme of those who didn't win the actions as "no one should be a loser in life") and auction off all of the material possession from the hollywood actors, likewise, we'll auction off the waterfront property to the highest bidders, this should more than fund the take over.

They'll never leave. I left 8 years ago and even had my family come visit. I showed them how much our quality of live has increased and how they could buy what they considered mansions outright with the equity they had (emphasis on had) in their houses and they simply would not leave. My family in NY is the EXACT same way. "You got roads out there o' what???" Numbskulls......... And the funny thing, some of the ones who ask questions like that live about an hour and a half north of NYC in an area like Sedalia - and they're still bragging......

Maybe it would be better phrased "if they haven't left yet, they will never leave".

I wanted my kids to be able to grow up climbing trees and riding their bikes without having to wear helmets. One of the reasons we moved to the country instead of living in the 'burbs is because I figured we had 10 years before that nonsense started to catch up with us. We almost didn't make it since Johnson County and Lee's Summit and other places around the Metro were starting in with California-style "master planned" communities putting stupid taxes on the ballot for soccer parks and all, but the recession and gas prices might just put us over the top!
